If you havent seen the movie Jeramiah Johnson, you should. It's an older movie, there is very little dialouge so you have to maintain your intrest. I may have it for a while (netflix), I think I would have been a mountain man back when things were getting off the ground. It sounds almost barbaric, but when you think about it, you really dont live for anyone but yourself. There didn't have to be schools, jobs, middle class, no, no not any of that. Of course you had to learn, but a man was a man, it wasn't getting up to go the same place every day. I am greatful for what I have. I don't really want to be a famous person anymore, I am happy with who I am and happy with what I will be. If I want, if I try, If I put my head to it I can do whatever I want. Today starts a new day.
